Where's Waldo? The Christmas Tree Edition

My mother is the ambassador of Christmas trees...

Black Friday at my parent's house is like D-day for my dad. My mom counts down the minutes until she can turn on the Christmas music and send him up to the attic to retrieve all her goodies. The entire day is spent unpacking decorations, moving furniture and getting everything just right. In her house one tree just won't do - the more the better and every year is a challenge for her to find a new and sneaky way of adding a tree to mix without anyone (mostly my dad)noticing. She grins like a Cheshire cat as she leads you around the house showing you each tree that she poured over as if it were the only one in the house. Each one is special and matches the room it lives in -we've had everything from a sports theme for my brother's tree to an old vintage tree with original ornaments from my great-grandmother's tree that came from Yugoslavia.

Over the years we've teased her mercilessly and threatened "tree interventions" but the truth is the holiday wouldn't be the same without it. This year I decided to document all nine of them and with some of the wacky places you'll find them you just might start to feel like you're playing "Where's Waldo?" The Christmas Tree Edition!

Tree #1 - our main tree in the living room

Tree #2 - in the bathroom of course...doesn't everyone think to put one in here?

Tree #3 - 1st bedroom

Tree #4 - decorated by the girls for their room

Tree #5 - fishing theme for my dad's office

Tree #6 - a collection of old ornaments from the family

Tree #7 - gotta find space in the other bathroom...someone might get bored!

Tree #8 - The kitchen wouldn't be complete without its own tree

And finally...Tree #9 - my favorite and because no outdoor living space in Arizona would be complete without one!
